Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars

You said some things
That damaged me
The knife that cuts
Is not as sharp as the pen that writes

I held you up
Too high to see things right
Strangled by your strings
The nights are full of daggers

Cold back
I could trace your spine in my mind
Bathed in blue light
The wound bleeds my favorite memories

Cut by daggers in the night
Cut by daggers in the night
Cut by daggers in the night

Nothing left to say
Didn’t want to leave things this way
Some scars never heal
Now I’ll wish for something real
