Sweet Refrain

I sense that it may be at an end
But I’ll die before I give up on you my friend
Cigarettes and bent earphones
Jeans with holes and quiet moans
My willful soul had found it’s goal
A life with moonless midnight strolls

Better beaten with a life lived fast
Then slowly fading into the past
Endless eyes and pale thighs
Tired lips and tortured hips
My gravestones etched with solemn quote
My corpse in black enjoys a smoke

When you say bye don’t bat your eyes
My pen, it lies in sweet disguise
Tender taste of carnal wine
Mouthed warm breast of her arched spine
My best thought rioted from my brain
Crashed colored glass of window pane

False memories of sweet refrain
True memories I can’t retain

I sense that it may be at an end
But I’ll die before I give up on you my friend
Better beaten with a life lived fast
Then slowly fading into the past
When you say bye don’t bat your eyes
My pen, it lies in sweet disguise

Cigarettes and bent earphones
Jeans with holes and quiet moans
Endless eyes and pale thighs
Tired lips and tortured hips
Tender taste of carnal wine
Mouthed warm breast of her arched spine

My willful soul had found it’s goal
A life with moonless midnight strolls
My gravestones etched with solemn quote
My corpse in black enjoys a smoke
My best thought rioted from my brain
Crashed colored glass of window pane

False memories of sweet refrain
True memories I can’t retain

Poem is mine. Image is not.
