High Noon

Deftly you walked
And softly you lied
Stupidly you tried
To get me to close my eyes
And to forget you existed

I sat in darkness
Blessed in hatred
And waited for centuries
For you to come
So I could destroy you

And stone grey walls
Kept me in
And hidden from danger
But they couldn’t keep me
From feeling this anger

I broke free
Bled eternity
Drew from the darkness
Bathed in the emptiness
And grew stronger

So now you face me
As I am building my own world
Changing the universe
One molecule at a time
Bending it to my will

Wish me luck…
